Hello and welcome to my page! The contents of this page were created to be a source of information and encouragement for those seeking to live healthier lives.
My name is Rebekah and I am a thirty-five year old mother of three, Certified Labor Doula and Birth Assistant for Copper Creek Midwifery, personal health & wellness coach, certified Family Herbalist and wife to my best friend for almost fifteen years.
My passion for health and alternative therapies began when our family took my grandfather into our home to care for him as he battled colon, liver and brain cancer. I was only a young teen but I was eager to study and learn about the impact nutrition had on disease and alternative methods of healing.
In 1997 this eagerness turned into intense passion when someone I was very close to was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of nine. This child’s parents decided after getting several opinions from various medical doctors and alternative medicine practitioners that a combination of chemo, supplements and a very healthy whole foods diet would be the route they would take. They purchased a heavy duty juicer, electric grain mill, heavy duty mixer and bought wheat seed by the five gallon buckets. His mother juiced for him daily, made fresh whole grain bread and totally eliminated white sugar from his diet. There was also a huge basket filled with supplements that he took faithfully every day. His three and a half years of chemo were not without struggles but his doctor said that he had never seen a patient of his do so well through it all. He never once threw up from the chemo and never once was kept overnight in the hospital for any infections. To me it was nothing short of a miracle. The amazing results I saw supplementing chemo with a whole foods diet, juicing and natural supplements is something that has stayed with me and has only served to ever increase my level of passion for living and eating healthy with my own precious family. I have read and acquired countless books, researched countless hours and literally filled stacks of notebooks with all the information I have gleaned over the years on disease, nutrition/diet and alternative treatment options.
Someday I would love to become a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) in addition to attending births. In the meantime, I continue to help my own family and friends by sharing the information I have learned over the past eighteen plus years. Also continue to help educate, empower and encourage women in their pregnancy and birth experiences. I am always seeking to pursue further education as finances permit. I look forward to serving you and getting to know you better. Please don’t hesitate to contact me!
